Thom Richards is flying his Rolls-Royce Griffon-powered P-51 around the pylons during practice for this year's Reno Air Races. Just after rounding Pylon 3, a fuel delivery problem causes the engine to quit. Watch as Richards reacts instantly to the problem and performs a safe deadstick landing on Runway 14. The gyro on the video camera, sadly, freaks out just prior to landing. But Richards' text commentary continues on the video.
